Artist's Weekend

On June 4th around 3:30pm I left the office and drove directly to Rehoboth. After having cocktails at local pub we returned and got busy getting ready to design. We both love music and I hooked up my Itunes and started to "jam". During the entire weekend we had been entertained from Glenn Miller to Kelly Clarkson. We even had some really nice Yoga music. Barb (my Aunt) is starting to get her sea glass cleaned and I am cutting my 4 X 4 squares for my coasters. Notice Barb is whistling to the music. Let the games begin!!!

This is a shot of our next phase of Barb designing a SeaGlass Angel. By this time it's Friday and we have decided we are staying in our PJ's ALL DAY. The weather was gloomy with rain and wind. Who wants to go out? Not us. Notice the glasses of wine.... It helps with the brain to design!

This is Saturday afternoon. We had finally gotten cleaned up (never thought taking a shower would feel so wonderful)went out to BooksandCoffee in Dewey and worked on the computer since we do not have a wireless connection at her house. Notice we can not find the dining room table. Barb is busy making her SeaGlass pendants and I am cutting more fabric to sew coasters.

This is only a small portion of all the SeaGlass that Barb has collected. She has SeaGlass placed all over the house in bottles,jars,tins and boxes.

Me: I have been coming to Rehoboth for over 10 years.

I have never found SeaGlass. This is not fair.

Her: Wow. We will have to change that.

Me: Do you think we could go out in October when I come down for the week?

Her: You bet you. We can go to my "secret beach".

Me: Is it October yet?

Isn't she just adorable. When I left, I was given this prototype. She now hangs from my review mirror to remind me that Angels are among us always and that she will protect our journey. Anxious to see what other Angels she will make.

Our time together was a weekend that we will not soon forget. We spent good quality time getting our business off the ground, talking to each other heart to heart and supporting each other in our different life's trials. It's so great to have someone who never judges you, always supports you and loves you unconditionally. What a great weekend.
